SDC51: Spring has Sprung

We can see the wearable art was a challenge for a lot of you but love what everyone had created to show off how versatile the Stampotique stamps can be.  Thanks for thinking out of the box and for joining us!

Your imaginative wearable art left Valerie feeling that they were all her favorites!
She has chosen to highlight a few pieces that used very creative materials to create beautiful, stylish accessories:
Hermine
Shrink plastic, mini bottle, beads
Trisha
Fabric, netting, button, wire
Renee Zarate
Hotel room key
Along with Valerie's favorites our team had a very difficult time picking out a winner for our guest designer...so we decided to pick two.

Congratulations to Astrid Stulemeijer and Belinda Spencer

You can see their creations over on our Facebook page.  Astrid's creation is here and Belinda's is here.

Welcome our March Guest Designer- Anika Knittel

Stampotique welcomes Anika Knittel as our guest designer this month.  Here's a little more about Anika.  Stop on over and visit her at her blog Anikcraft.

I'm originally from Germany but have been living in London, UK for the past 10 years. I have always had a strong interest in arts and crafts. My mum used to make all sorts of things with me and my sister, from silk painting, knitting, sewing, papercrafting and woodwork with my dad. At the age of 12 I developed a strong interest in musical theatre and it only seemed natural to combine the two so I studied prop making and set building in London. I have worked on many West End shows since and love my work.

England is also where I discovered my love for stamping. It started off with Tim Holtz's distress inks and stamps range 2 years ago and I have since discovered so many different companies and products and made many great friends. In 2011 I particularly fell in love with Stampotique and it's crazy but lovingly drawn characters. 2011 was a very busy year, I became part of the team for a German stamping magazine "Just Stamps" and also got myself published in UK Craft Stamper Magazine and The Stampers Sampler. So far 2012 has been a quiet year for me but inspiration comes in waves so I'm sure the next one is just around the corner.

I'm delighted to be guest artist this month having always admired the DT's work and the endless inspiration from every single team member!
